My humidified water kept shutting off, I thought it was the valve, I tried this first and it fixed the problem. There is a small filter included with this kit, the old one although did not look clogged apparently was. Product just as described.

It took me about 30 minutes to install. Not sure why the original started leaking after only 5 years, but this one is working fine so far (3 weeks).
